Culture: It's May day!

What is May Day?

May Day is celebrated on the first day of the month of May. Traditionally, it was the only day of the year when farmers didn't work. It's a celebration of spring and of looking forward to warmer weather and summer. May Day is a chance to relax and have some family time.
It's said that the Greeks and Romans celebrated this day as a festival to worship Flora, the goddess of fruit, flowers, nature and spring.
